Miramalfi Hotel

Amalfi Coast, Italy

First Impressions:

Words cannot fully express how grateful and excited I am to share this blog with the world. I don’t typically start my blogs this way, but my stay at Miramalfi was truly flawless. There wasn’t a single moment or thought where they could have made any improvements. Faultless and fabulous are exactly how you’d describe the Miramalfi Hotel on the Amalfi Coast.

Now, to begin… our road trip from Rome to Amalfi was an experience in itself. As we wound around the cliffs and corners, the breathtaking view of the Amalfi Coast came into sight, one of those rare moments that truly lives up to the hype. Miramalfi Hotel is located just a 5-minute drive from the main town, giving it a sense of privacy that feels incredibly special. From the hotel, you can take in the stunning views of the town, watching people and boats glide by until the sun sets and the street’s fairy lights begin to twinkle. Perched on a cliffside, Miramalfi makes a striking first impression. When we arrived in the afternoon, the car pulled up to the rooftop entrance, where we were greeted by the staff, assisted with our luggage, and taken down to the reception. The view from the rooftop was breathtaking, but it was the interior of the reception area that really made an impact, with its impeccable style. Not a single corner of this hotel was overlooked. Every detail was photo-worthy, with a perfect blend of mid-century modern design and Italian elegance.

The staff were wonderful, offering us a seat in the lounge or out on the balcony with fresh lemonade while our room was being prepared. It didn’t take long before we were guided to our room. From the sophisticated design to the exceptional service, I immediately knew this boutique hotel defines a 5 star luxury stay.

Accomodation & Guests:

As the staff escorted us to our room, our luggage had already been delivered. When the door opened to reveal a room with a breathtaking view of the Amalfi Coast, it felt like stepping into a dream. The room had that unmistakable Italian coastal charm, accented with luxurious touches like a personalised note and chocolates thoughtfully laid out for us. Overlooking the main town, beaches, and boats passing by, the view was something I’ll never forget. The peace, serenity, and privacy of being just five minutes away from the bustling town offered pure bliss. It was our very own oasis.

Miramalfi Hotel embodies elegance, class, and beauty in every detail. It’s a perfect stay for couples, small groups of friends, or even solo travellers seeking tranquillity and sophistication. I was surprised to discover that the hotel isn’t adults-only, as it aligns so naturally with its peaceful and romantic atmosphere. However, there were no children present during my stay, maintaining the serene ambiance throughout.

Dining:

Because the Amalfi Coast has some of the most incredible restaurants. We only dined at the hotel once on our first night for dinner, at Donna Emma La Cucina, and it was an exceptional experience. As we had arrived in the afternoon we made reservations last minute, which was lucky for us as this restaurant is also available to the public and is always booked out. For dinner we were seated at our table outside on the terrace under the stars, overlooking the Amalfi Coast city lights. An elegant waiter with a champagne trolley arrived, for us to decide what we would like to drink while dining. The waiters were very knowledgeable and recommended different champagnes and wines to pair with the meal you are having. For starters we chose the Red Tuna, an absolute try if you love seafood. For mains, we chose the catch of the day. Lastly for dessert, we enjoyed the ‘Gold of Amalfi’, a light sponge cake filled and glazed with light lemon cream. From the staff, intimate atmosphere, the incredible food, and the breathtaking view of Amalfi’s city lights and stars, Donna Emma La Cucina sets the standard for fine dining experiences, and is not one to miss when staying at Miramalfi Hotel.

There is not one spot at Miramalfi that doesn’t offer views of the Mediterranean Ocean. Azure Lounge Bar, is a stunning ocean view terrace that welcomes a place to relax over a refreshing drink at the cocktail and champagne bar, and also offers dinner service. We did not have the luxury of time to experience everything Azure Lounge Bar has to offer during our stay, however it has been renovated since and am excited to return and explore its new charming updates!

Rest and Recreation:

There is no better place to enjoy some R&R than of course… the Amalfi Coast. Miramalfi Hotel has it’s own private beach club for hotel guests only which is perfect for privacy, and includes waiter service where you can relax by the pool and/ or ocean, while enjoying a drink and light snack, where you can sunbathe and wont need to move an inch. Every detail has been carefully thought of where relaxation is its top priority.

The staff at Miramalfi Hotel are very generous and helpful, so you can adjust your stay to your liking. If you have some more adventurous ideas you would like to experience, the staff were excellent at organising other activities, such as a private boat for us to explore the Amalfi Coast, Capri and Positano for the day. Which we highly recommend if you have enough time!

Service and Hospitality:

The hardest part about staying at boutique hotel is saying goodbye to the staff. They were not only setting the standard for luxury hospitality service, but they effortlessly created a wholesome and inclusive environment. Miramalfi is one of, if not, the best luxury hotel to stay at on the Amalfi Coast, as its a boutique hotel, its much more private, has stunning interior design, grand views of the Amalfi Coast, the best fine dining options, every moment, every detail has been thought of to create an unforgettable guest experience. Yes, these details of course create that luxury environment, however, I believe luxury is a feeling, and theres no better luxury than when people make you feel special, and that is exactly the experience that the staff at Miramalfi provided. Since our stay I still remember the feeling of being greeted each morning at breakfast with a big “Bonjourno!” from an older Italian man who couldn’t be more proud of his job, his country, and another beautiful day on the Amalfi Coast.
To add, Miramalfi is located on a cliff just outside of the main town centre, so thankfully the hotel provides a shuttle bus service that only takes maximum 2 minutes (possibly 5 minutes if theres traffic) from the hotel to the main town in Amalfi Coast, which is perfect especially in the summer season, it might seem like a short drive, but the walk is a lot longer in the summer heat.
